Our Relay for Life team is waking up. I held a meeting at work & people showed up. I did the same thing last year and 3 people showed up. I was a bit surprised at having about 10!! I even had 2 guys run upstairs just before the meeting to ask how mandatory it was because they wanted to join but couldn't be at the meeting ( Read more... )

My Relay team got together and gave me a card and a gift card to one of our large bookstores here. :) That was so sweet and completely unexpected, completely unnecessary too. It seems like people really had a good time this year and that makes me happy ( Read more... )

Relay stuff is almost wrapped up except for the little bits to tidy up this year: waiting for the last invoice so I can bank the rest of the money, confirm who qualified for the volunteer day (actually harder than it sounds---there are people who might not have raised $150 but helped in so many ways. We did our Relay for Life yesterday to today. I showed up on track just before around 2:15pm. I had help from Michael, Jean and Janice in setting up the tent and getting it decorated.
